Evangelynn Thurber – Gastric Sleeve in Cancun

I would like to tell you about my experience with Dr. Hector Perez Corzo in Cancun, Mexico.Cancun is one of the safest places in Mexico. There are police and security everywhere.  My husband and I didn’t feel like we were in any danger at all the whole time we were there. This is one of our big reasons for choosing Cancun.  The driver (arranged by Dr. Perez and the coordinator), the anesthesiologist, the hotel front desk person, a patient coordinator at the hospital, and Dr. Perez himself all spoke English.

[singlepic id=479 w=640 h=480 float=center]The B2B hotel was recommended for us by the coordinator and one night there was included in the package. It is nice and clean, no complaints there. Stay away from the room service hamburguesa. They do not have broth and jello and stuff for you to eat/drink preop. I suggest taking some Crystal Light.

The Clinica Victoria is the hospital where I had my surgery. It is a very small hospital. Nonetheless, it was exceptionally clean and the nurses and other staff were caring and kind. I have no complaints about the care I received. I got pain medicine according to the clock, I did not have to ask for it. I had my surgery on Friday and left the hospital Sunday. Being in a real hospital was important to me and was a factor in my decision. They do not have a cafeteria or gift shop, so hubby had to walk next door to a convenience store for drinks and food while we were there, which was easy for him.

Finally, Dr. Perez. I really liked him, although I only saw him for a short while each day. He obviously cares about the patients. He speaks great English. He explained everything he was doing and what to expect. He did an excellent job with my surgery.  It only took an hour, and I have had no leakage, no infections, no complications of any kind.  I have already lost 19 pounds.

Overall, I would recommend Dr. Perez to anyone seeking affordable, safe gastric sleeve surgery. I am very happy with my experience and am excited about my healthy future.
